Emails like this

February 11, 2008

I never cared about junk mails, they just sit there and eventually get deleted but some mails, which just seem so convincing and nice, they sometimes, manage to pop in inbox. The mail looks convincing and what’s next, it’s written by a woman if you are a man or by a man if you are a woman.

The mail would look something like this below, which I thought before deleting, should share with people.

Hi! I’m a single girl and I’m 26 years old. Please take a look at my
pictures and let me know if you like them! I live in Russia and I’m
going
to come to your country and work over there very soon! I don’t know
anybody over there
and I thought it would be great to meet someone who is open to
anything (as I am!). I would be happy to be friends, lovers or create
a serious relationship! We will see what happens!
I hope you will write me back and I will write more info about myself
and send more photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am writing from my friend’s email
address, so please make sure you do not reply directly to this email.
Email me at abradleynhk@yahoo.co.uk only.
if you don’t use my personal email address then I won’t be able to read
your reply and write you back. So it is very important that you get it right.
Ok, I guess it is now your turn. Hope to hear from you today. Bye!!

The pictures were stunning, it’s beautiful but I don’t want to post here. Reason is obvious: It could be the way of drawing attention or may be the pictures of some other people which I think is unnecessary.

I didn’t care previously and I’ve gotten couple of mails like that before too. Some wrote, that they found me on online forum, online profile or other social network sites(they are not reluctant to write words of admiration like I’m goodlooking, handsome blah blah blah) and they even write the name of such sites where I’m involved. Pretty convincing right? I don’t mean they are fake but what they want is different. That’s out of my understanding and thinking myself, I come to a conclusion and it revolves around the ‘MONEY’. May be I’m wrong or May be I’m right.

What I did second time is reply and they did reply. They’re real human beings, how genuine are they, god knows. But these days, I stopped replying.

So, some strangers calling me nice things about me, there is definitely something hideous motivation behind and I don’t easily fall prey on that.

The only thing that I do is to click “DELETE” .

What would you do, by the way??
